Advance Tickets
Advance tickets are available online for £20, with entry on the day priced at £25. Children under 12 go free when accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through the website and downloaded to your phone or printed at home. Entry on the day is managed separately at the gate.
Buckham Fair is a full day out, with traditional country attractions including heavy horses, dog shows, rural displays, food stalls, and trade stands.
About Buckham Fair
Buckham Fair is a traditional Dorset country show bringing together local businesses, rural crafts, community organisations and visitors for a full day of displays, entertainment and fundraising.
The Fair is built around the feel of a proper country event, with heavy horses, dog shows, arena displays, food, shopping and attractions for families and country-minded visitors alike. It is intended to be enjoyable, practical and welcoming rather than overdone.
Alongside the entertainment and trade stands, Buckham Fair also plays an important fundraising role, helping turn a popular day out into something that delivers wider benefit for the local community.
2026 Charity: Dorset County Hospital
All donations from Buckham Fair 2026 go directly to Dorset County Hospital Charity.
Dorset County Hospital is the main provider of acute hospital services for around 300,000 people across Weymouth, Portland, West Dorset, North Dorset and Purbeck. Demand has risen sharply through population growth, housing development, tourism and the continued pressure on NHS services.
The current Emergency Department was built for 22,000 attendances a year, but in 2024/25 it handled 52,871. The Critical Care Unit is also operating under significant pressure, with limited room for future demand.
To address this, Dorset County Hospital is building a new £100 million Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit. The development will increase critical care beds from 11 to 24, expand Emergency Department spaces from 35 to 47, and include a new rooftop helipad.
Dorset County Hospital Charity is raising £2.5 million to fund important enhancements beyond the core NHS build, including relatives’ accommodation, a patient winter garden for the Critical Care Unit, child and adolescent mental health facilities for the Emergency Department, and improved staff welfare spaces.
