Whistlefish Main Sponsors Of The Heavy Horse Show
Main sponsors of the Buckham Fair Heavy Horse show, Whistlefish is a family-run British greeting card brand, rooted in creativity, quality and the Cornish coastline.
Whistlefish Information
Founded over 30 years ago, the business was built on a simple belief: that the art on their cards, when shared, creates meaningful connections.
Every Whistlefish design begins with illustration, inspired by nature, colour and the quiet beauty of the countryside and coast.
Cornwall remains central to the brand, shaping its aesthetic and thoughtful approach to craftsmanship.
About the Founder – Lyn
Whistlefish was founded by Lyn, an artist and creative with a lifelong love of drawing, nature and animals. Alongside the business, Lyn is the proud owner of six Clydesdale horses and a Comtois French heavy horse.
Caring for them is an important part of her everyday life. For Lyn, art and animals are deeply connected — both require time, care and attention, and both tell stories worth preserving and sharing.

The Heavy Horse Festival
The Heavy Horse Festival is a celebration of working horses and the people who care for them. Bringing together owners, handlers and visitors, the festival offers an opportunity to see these remarkable animals up close and learn more about their role, care and character.
From traditional displays to quieter moments of observation, the festival invites people of all ages to appreciate the strength, presence and gentleness of heavy horses. It is a chance to slow down, share knowledge and enjoy a day centred around animals, craftsmanship and community.
Why Whistlefish Is Sponsoring the Heavy Horse Show
A love of animals runs through Whistlefish’s artwork, reflecting founder Lyn’s life alongside horses and her long-standing connection to them. As a heavy horse owner, she understands the care, commitment and quiet dedication involved in working with these animals.
Supporting the Heavy Horse Show is a way to shine a light on their continued importance, share their stories with a wider audience, and celebrate the beauty of working horses in a thoughtful and authentic setting.
